Mary Bond

Mary Bond is thrilled to join Poco a Poco for its 7th Annual Summer Festival! Based in Nashville, TN, Mary is a public school teacher and the Curriculum Director for the Nashville Children’s Choir. Mary has held positions with children’s and community chorus organizations across the country, including the Cincinnati Boychoir, the Cincinnati Youth Choir, the Madisonville Youth Chorus, and the Philadelphia Boys and Girls Choir. While pursuing her Master’s, Mary was the Conducting Apprentice with the Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia, the country’s longest-standing choral organization.

Mary received her BS in Music Education from Xavier University and spent four years as a high school Choir and Theatre Director. In May, she graduated with her MM in Choral Conducting at Temple University, where she worked with curricular choirs, mentored undergraduate conducting students, and served as Chorus Master for the ‘23 production of Hjmperdinck’s Hansel and Gretl. She thanks Poco a Poco for giving her a musical home every summer.
