The Poco a Poco Summer Music Festival enrolls incoming first-year high school students through newly-graduated seniors (as of June each year) who want to excel in music and have a passion for the arts. The Festival’s training focuses primarily on vocal and choral music through performance, voice lessons, vocal coaching, and choral rehearsals. Additional electives offered have spanned topics of conducting, movement, improvisation, pedagogy, composition, and vocal jazz. Our student-to-faculty ratio is three students per faculty member to ensure an intimate learning experience. All young artists sing in the Poco a Poco Summer Music Fest Choir. It is not necessary, however, that a student’s primary instrument be voice to enroll.
