Poco a Poco definition

OUR MISSION

"Poco a Poco is a week-long intensive and interactive vocal music training institute, created to bring top quality instruction and concert opportunities to high school students and the greater community. "

The Poco a Poco Festival exists to make high-quality arts opportunities, performances, and advanced music education accessible and encourage young talent. This annual, week-long 'Summer Music Fest' for young musicians in central Illinois is inspired by the Italian musical term, poco a poco, because consistent and steady dedication to a skill can spur tremendous growth. Through instruction and guidance, Poco a Poco hopes to instill a life-long love for music and the arts in young musicians.

Additionally, through our free and open-to-the-public outreach concerts, we hope to engage arts lovers of all ages in Streator and its surrounding areas.
