Kevin Mangan
Kevin Mangan is a dedicated music educator with over a decade of teaching experience, known for his passion for choral excellence and student growth. A proud 2010 graduate of Schaumburg High School, Kevin earned his Bachelor of Music Education summa cum laude from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2014 and completed his Master of Music Education at VanderCook College of Music in 2021.
He began his career in the Woodland Unit 5 School District in Streator, IL, where he taught K–12 general and choral music. Since 2017, Kevin has served as Director of Choirs at Reed-Custer High School, leading a dynamic program with a rigorous curriculum and active performance schedule. Under his direction, his choirs consistently earn top marks at IHSA contests, including “Best of Day” honors.
In addition to his work at Reed-Custer, Kevin teaches dual credit music courses through Joliet Junior College and remains an integral part of the Poco a Poco Summer Music Fest faculty, where he also served as a former board member.
Kevin brings a strong sense of artistry, leadership, and mentorship to every classroom and stage he enters—and is proud to continue uplifting young musicians through both education and performance.
