Jennifer McGuire
Jennifer Quammen McGuire is an accomplished conductor, pianist, and educator dedicated to empowering the next generation of artists. She serves as Music Director of the Vanderbilt Opera Theatre and Principal Senior Lecturer in Collaborative Piano at Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music. At Blair, she has conducted 18 opera productions and mentored countless young performers through the school’s vibrant vocal arts program.
Jennifer’s conducting credits include engagements with Seagle Festival, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and Opera Memphis. As a pianist and collaborator, she has worked with esteemed organizations such as Cincinnati Opera, Dayton Opera, Opera Birmingham, the Nashville Symphony Chorus, The Laffont Competition, and Schmidt Vocal Arts.
Her discography includes featured performances on Irrational Exuberance (Beauport Classical), Sursum (Navona Records), and Heinrich Marschner: Songs for Baritone with baritone Jeffrey Williams (Centaur Records).
Jennifer’s commitment to vocal and artistic training has led to summer faculty appointments with leading programs across the globe, including the AIMS Festival, Seagle Festival, Boston Conservatory Opera Intensive (Valencia, Spain), Accademia Vocale Lorenzo Malfatti (Lucca, Italy), Poco a Poco, and the upcoming Schmidt Vocal Institute.
In addition to her musical work, Jennifer is a certified yoga instructor at the 500-hour level, helping artists embrace their authentic selves and achieve their fullest potential—both on and off the stage.
