Jenilyn Roether

Jenilyn Roether, voice instructor & director of choral activities at IVCC, holds a Bachelor of Music Education, specializing in voice, from Illinois Wesleyan University. Mrs. Roether also holds a Master of Music Education from Northern Illinois University where she studied voice with Myron Myers and conducting with Dr. Eric Johnson. She has been a clinician for Solo & Ensemble contest, IHSA Organizational Music Contest, and guest director for the BVEC music festival. She has been the featured soloist for the Illinois Valley Symphony Orchestra. Currently, Mrs. Roether directs the Illinois Valley Youth Choir, a community choir for singers in grades 3-8. She also sings professionally with Cor Cantiamo, Canterbury Singers, and teaches private voice lessons at Music Suite 408.
