Andrew Lin

Andrew Lin is a dedicated music educator and versatile performer, excited to join the Poco a Poco Summer Music Fest as a 2025 Junior Faculty Intern. A rising senior at Illinois Wesleyan University, he is pursuing a degree in Music Education with emphases in wind ensemble and choral studies, and will begin his student teaching at Ridgeview High School in the upcoming semester.

An active member of IWU’s vibrant music community, Andrew is a horn player with the IWU Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, a vocalist with the Collegiate Choir, a trumpet player in the Jazz Ensemble, and a mellophonist with the Titan Band, where he also serves as one of three student conductors.

Beyond performing, Andrew contributes as music librarian and ensemble manager for IWU’s large instrumental ensembles and actively participates in the university chapters of NAfME and SNATS, as well as collaborating annually with the Music Theatre Society (MTS).

He currently studies horn with Professor Lea Humphreys and voice with Dr. Cody Parrott, and has previously studied with Dr. J. Scott Ferguson. Andrew is passionate about sharing his love for music and is thrilled to support young artists through education and collaboration at Poco a Poco.
